KARRATHA'S ANIMAL RESCUE HITS THE SMALL SCREEN

The group Saving Animals From Euthanasia will feature in a six-part documentary series shot in Karratha.

SAFE founder Sue Hedley said the Channel 9 production “Take Me Home” would start on Friday May 6.

“We’re excited to see that our organisation’s going to be showcased across the country and potentially other places out of Australia as well,” she said.

“But it’s a wonderful opportunity to heighten awareness about the foster care model, heighten awareness about how much funds are needed.

“And particularly here in the North West, with the extremes of cruelty and neglect, that we see how much we need more effort put into making positive change.”
