  • On the 17th of November, a NAIDOC event will host junior football and its called the Brody (Wood) Kenney Cup - Djinda Yirra “stars Rising”

Brody (Wood) Kenney, rest in peace, played all his junior football at Ocean Ridge and was a team leader on and off the field throughout his years.  You’ll hear about his legacy.

  • In Roebourne, Yinjibarndi elder Harry Mills turned 80.

In a speech he made on country at Gregory’s Gorge, he related his life’s story as a member of the stolen generation, being kidnapped and forced to work on stations for rations.

  • Have you ever thought about getting a job in the mines? Everyone knows the money is really good and you get lots of time off to spend with your family in between swings. Young Yinjibarndi man Nick Ranger has just qualified as a drill and blast operator, you’ll hear from Mr Ranger this afternoon!
