HEDLAND COMMUNITY GET BEHIND 'AMAZING RACE' DUO

An Aboriginal aunty-and-niece duo have garnered support from their local Hedland community as they compete in ‘The Amazing Race Australia’.

Ngarluma-Kariyarra woman Tiffany Turland and Ngarluma-Kariyarra-Yamatji woman Cynthia Cameron Turland are taking part in the current season of the Network 10 reality show.

Tiffany said they appreciate support from family and community.

“I feel like we have the whole of Hedland behind us,” she said.

“Every time the show is on, we’re tagged in that many posts. We’re supported by our community, not just our family, but everyone, even when I see them down the shops.”
