HALLS CREEK BIKE PROGRAM KICKS OFF
Ground will be broken on a new bike track for kids in a small East Kimberley town this week, thanks to a program run through the Halls Creek Shire, the WA Police and Kimberley Jobs Pathways.
The town of Halls Creek will host workers to build a state-of-the-art BMX track for the local children and kick off a bike repair program.
Halls Creek Police Senior Sergeant Simon Womerlsey said the building project would be collaborative and take input from local kids.
“We're going to have some tests bikes so the kids can test the jumps, and the kids will be guiding how they want the track built,” he said.
“The builders will be working with the kids to make sure the track is spot on with what the kids want.”
