FORMULA ONE FOR INDIGENOUS SCIENCE
An Aboriginal charity has been given sponsorship on a Formula One racing car to help promote science education.
Gamileroy man Corey Tutt founded Deadly Science to encourage Aboriginal kids to study Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics.
“We’re the first blackfeller charity to ever be on a Formula One car,” he said.
Mr Tutt said they were amazed at the opportunity to promote their cause.
“You know, in Australia we don’t really encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island kids to do science or STEM,” he said.
“The only real encouragement is for sport and art. That’s why Deadly Science is important because you can’t do what you can’t see.”
Daniel Riccardo will be driving the car at the Melbourne Grand Prix on Sunday.
