The eighteenth annual Colours of Our Country exhibition of Aboriginal art from the Pilbara opened last week in Perth.

Work is on display by artists from Yinjaa-Barni Art Centre, Wangaba Roebourne Art Group, Cheeditha Art Group and Juluwarlu Art Group.

Yinjaa-Barni Art Centre painter Allery Sandy said she has a number of paintings for sale at the exhibition which she expects will sell.

“it’ll help me for my Christmas coming, gifts for my family and my children,” she said.

“It’s always been a major event for us every year to display our work.”

The exhibition is presented by Rio Tinto and will run until 20 October.
