CHILDREN'S BOOKS WITH ABORIGINAL STORIES
Aboriginal children are invited to download up to 100 free books to view on their Android tablet computers.
“Library for All” representative Dr Julie Owen says the books all feature stories contributed by Aboriginal people.
“We get it published on an ePub application which is free for kids on Android tablets,” she said. “And once they‘ve dowloaded the collection they can read all the books, and at the moment we’ve got over 100, without WiFi. So it’s a great little library collection that kids can use anywhere across Australia.“
Anyone with a story to share is invited to become an author.
Dr Owen says they aimed to publish 500 books.
