CHARGES LAID IN CARNARVON RAM RAID
Six people between the ages of 10 and 17 have been arrested in relation to a series of ram raids and burglaries that occurred in Carnarvon last week, with four offenders being charged, according to Carnarvon Police.
In the early hours of Sunday night and Monday morning, a stolen Nissan Pathfinder was used to ram and gain access to the Carnarvon IGA, where several items were stolen.
The offenders then used the vehicle to ram and gain access to a local business supply store, where they stole several iPhones and iPads.
Carnarvon Police Sgt Mark Ardley said the stolen vehicle had been found having been set on fire.
“At this stage that’s still under investigation by the Carnarvon detectives,” he said.
The alleged perpetrators have been charged with offenses relating to the theft of a motor vehicle and burglary, and will face court later this month.
