The play ‘The Bleeding Tree’ is a gripping revenge thriller that’s swept up almost every award in its path, including four Performing Arts WA Awards.

A new version of the play has been produced by the Black Swan State Theatre Company and the Blue Room Theatre, featuring a new cast of First Nations women.

Noongar man and director of The Bleeding Tree Ian Michael has put his own spin on the story, taking it to new levels of darkness and humor.

Mr Micheal had a yarn with Ngaarda Media’s Sam Walker.

‘The Bleeding Tree’ will be performed at Studio Underground in Boorloo/Perth from April 29 to May 14.
