ABORIGINAL ADVISORY BODY TO RESHAPE EDUCATION SYSTEM

The State Government has announced an Aboriginal Advisory Body to shape the future of public education. 

There are nine positions available in the body that will play a key role in reshaping the public education system. 

Education Minister Dr Tony Buti said the Aboriginal Advisory Body will strengthen the well-being, engagement and achievement of Aboriginal students.

Dr Buti said that this is an important step towards more actively engaging Aboriginal people in the governance and oversight of the Department's progress towards reconciliation and building its cultural responsiveness.
