A GONG FOR COBBER’S SONG

Well-known bush poet Keith “COBBER” Lethbridge and musician Terry Bennetts have won a national award for an original song.

It is known as the Stan Costa Memorial competition based in NSW.

Lethbridge said Bennetts had set one of his poems to music before they both recorded the song.

Keith Lethbrige snr is known to many Aboriginal people as a public servant with various State and Federal Government departments, working on Aboriginal programs in many parts of regional WA.
