68TH ANNIVERSARY: COVERUP OF NUCLEAR FALLOUT AND NUCLEAR DETONATION CLOSE TO PILBARA

BY ASAD KHAN

The 19th of June is commemorated as the 68th anniversary of the nuclear weapon detonation over the Montebello islands which lie some 130km off the Pilbara coast

The day also marks the cover-up of the British Atomic Testing in Australia, the Christmas Islands, and the Montebello Islands.

Sue Rabbitt Roff has spent decades researching various government documents and collecting scientific evidence of the blasts.

She said the intensity of the blasts and harm it brought have still not been well understood but there is a recent case in London Court to evaluate the acts of the British forces during testing in Australia.

Ms Roff said people were not looked after or given any precautions about what was going to happen

“ A small number of people were taken into the small area known as ground-zero area of the various detonation, they were given very very little medical attention whatsoever,”

Ms Roff has also released an extensive piece that backs up the claims with scientific evidence, radioactive readings and statements from Departments acknowledging the intensity of the blasts

However, some experts have said it is fair to assume that due to the high amount of Iron Ore in the ground here in the Pilbara, the iron ore naturally gives off some radiation which could account for the readings
