ROSANNA ANGUS COMISSIONER FOR TOURISM WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Rosanna Angus, owner of Oolin Sunday Island Cultural Tours, has recently been appointed as a commissioner for tourism in Western Australia (WA). She now sits on the WA tourism board. In this position, she can talk to other Members to discuss and shape the future of tourism in the state.

“I value it so much that I'm very involved in tourism, and I'm very passionate about it and to be able to elevate myself personally to another level as well on a board level’’

The journey towards this representation has been a personal one, marked by growth and the desire to elevate Aboriginal tourism to new heights. The path has been paved with challenges, but the rewards have been equally significant. One such reward is the opportunity to serve as a commissioner on the Tourism WA board, one of the highest achievements in the state.

“You don't have to be in a big city or a big town to get recognized for your hard work and dedication in the tourism industry. It's how you represent yourself and how you, as a spokesperson, advocate for your people’’.

Rosanna is very passionate about her new role and wants to use this to help her family and community use the resources they have within their homeland and inspire more people to join the tourism industry.
