Community-run Beagle Bay Futures Indigenous Corporation has introduced an entry fee of $15 for all visitors over the age of 10.

The fee will help create jobs and opportunities in Beagle Bay and help meet its obligation to employ cleaners to upkeep the public toilet built by Kimberly Development Commission for visitors' use.

The entry fee will not cover entry to Sacred Hearth Church.

Beagle Bay Futures Chair Henry Augustine said they had no other options to support looking after the area and its community.

”At the moment we don’t have any sort of income or any other benefit that could allow us to look after ourselves and our people,”

“So we decided to charge an entry fee for visitors coming to visit our community.”
